ubuntu 12.04 post release update issues

I've been using the beta version of Ubuntu 12.04 for about a month and had not encountered any updating issues. Today marks the official release of Ubuntu 12.04 and I've started getting these errors:

I've tried switching to the "Main Server" since it was set to "Custom Server" before the final release, and tried deleting the '/var/lib/apt/lists' folder but I'm still receiving the same errors. Please help.

It fixed my primal issue but I am now experiencing what seems to be an even worse problem. I think I may have done something wrong, which is absurd since all I had to do was copy the commands you listed one by one.
'sudo apt-get update' gives me these errors:

I ran 'sudo apt-get update' again after a reboot and received a different error. After that I ran the update command several more times to confirm that the error is consistent. The error:

ok run:

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

comment out the 2 lines for the partner repo and save the new file, close gedit then run:

sudo apt-get update

Didn't work.
Forget it, I don't have the time for this. I'll reinstall Ubuntu 12.04 and hope it won't happen again.

I believe I have a similar problem:
apt-get update gives me this:

W: GPG error: http://archive.canoical.com precise InRelease: File /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.canoical.com_dists_precise_InRelease doesn't start with a clearsigned message

So I am really trying to be patient here and I know this is free stuff and free help and free... free... but hey is it not the goal to do a better job then MAC or Windows? I have had more issues with this Ubuntu and with snooty support people (I know your free help).

I tried #3 in this thread and right off the bat it dose nothing. @ the first line it just sit's there for a long time with nothing.

So I would appreciate the help this is what I get from my sudo apt-get update command. Oh I did the #3 fix then sudo apt-get update --fix-missing and got the same thing as with sudo apt-get update.

I am really getting frustrated and I get snappy but I am aware it's not a hard issue so any help would be great. Oh I got a book on Ubuntu also seeing I have such a hard time getting answers so if it was an error then it was cause because I had to figure it out myself.

Why so? Your issue was a duplicated line for a source and so YOU have modified the OS and caused the issue. Start adding and removing random keys from Windows. See how well it runs. Same thing

hmm so there is something here I should have recognized? Like I said I see no answer just more comments that do nothing, but call me an Idiot basically. That's why. Actionparsnip. If it were Windows I could fix it myself seeing this is new to me I don't follow and all this is just wasting time and space.

You see a line there that's Duplicated? If so then maybe you should tell me that? Maybe you should get off your high horse and help rather then just filling space.
