HFS+ external usb disk

Hello to all,
I use,not for very long,Ubuntu 7.10.A friend that is a mac user has 2 external WD My Book HD,one is 500gb and the other 1tb.The 500gb disk one day turned up from fat32 to raw partision but the data on it, is ok,he can't read it with his mac so he gave it to me to see if ubuntu can read it,i toke it and I plug it using usb to my desktop I boot ubuntu and the book was mounted already on my desktop,and everything is ok,i could read write etc.

I went to work I told him to bring the other 1tb Mybook hfs+ formated to see if ubuntu can read it and if so we could transfer the data from the 500gb Mybook to the 1 tb book,i would format the 500gb book and everything would be normal.I work at an internet cafe, so you know I have many computers there, I had the ubuntu cd with me,I installed ubuntu at a pc I plug the hfs disk with usb I boot ubuntu and the 1tb Mybook was mounted already on desktop,i could read and write etc.I said great,i will fix the problem.i unplug everything because I finished work and I said that I would take the books at home to do the transfer,i have almost the same specs pc with the one I tried at work.

I go home I plug both books, I boot but only the 500 gb book was mounted, the hfs book not,i said ok something is wrong,its ok I will take the disk tomorrow to work and I will do the transfer there.Next day I go to work but nothing happened,as at home.

In both computers if I go to device manager the system sees the 1tera book but cant mount it I think.

What can I do to Mount the hfs+ book,i have tried everything hfs plugins and other stuff,nothing worked
