gives authentication error while upgrading ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04

when i try to upgrade my ubuntu 10.10 to a newer version 11.04 it gives authentication failed and "server error"

provide out of

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Disable PPAs too. It can help. Why not just wait til Precise is released, wipe Maverick out and do a clean install of the LTS.
