Sony Vaio VGN-FE670G

Hello im new with Ubuntu Linux. I installed properly and it works fine. But i have a problem with my laptop brightness. The Fn keys seems not to be working. Please if you have any suggestions ill be glad to hear about them.

It is possible that those Fn keys were actually handled by some Sony Tray Icon software in Windows. However, all is not lost.

Now a bit of googling tells me there is a Kernel module, SonyPI which may allow things like this to work as well as the Jog Dial and other Vaio specific stuff.

Now, this is present as a module in the Ubuntu kernel, and can probably be loaded with "sudo modprobe sonypi". Furthar control may be gained by install spicctrl - an app which allows gui control .
