Linutop + Ubuntu USB-Flash Pack: a nice idea!

Did see a nice idea: "Linutop + Mandriva Flash Pack!".
Would be nice to have such a small hw, diskless, no ventilation, run on 9-16 V= running some Ubuntu distribution.
Any suggestion about a tested hw + USB flash startup solution?
