Driver Intel GM965 ?

Hi , i have a brand new HP 6910p , 2GHz Intel GM965 Chipset... Gutsy runs fine (as always) But...i cant get the 965 onboard graphics to work with compiz ?

Am i doing something wrong or isn't the chipset supported yet ?

ps. I gave my old laptop to my wife and she can run all compiz features (annoying) ;)

You are not doing anything wrong. Compiz causes problems with video playback on the GM965 chipset. Therefore compiz has been disabled for this chipset, see bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/148247
It is possible to enable compiz, if you really want to: http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/Hardware/Blacklist

Oki , thanks ...that explains it and i'll guess i just have to sit back and wait for an updated driver then.

i ll have to wait too, im on a Dell Vostro 1400
