hi...
1-I am using ubuntu 7.04 for a full year no problem..fantastic
2-Want to upgrade....
3-Impossible with internet connection to slow
4-could I upgrade to 7.10 with a cd live or I need absolutely the alternate cd..
Simple question ...Thank you...Pierre

You can do it with a LiveCD, please read the section "upgrade using alternate CD/DVD" in the end of the page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GutsyUpgrades

There is a difference betwen a live CD and a alternate CD ...so they talking Pedro in your reference of a alternate cd...not a live...
I still ask for a Yes or a No...Is it possible to upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 with a live CD...I know that is possible with a alternate CD....

Alternate CD is a LiveCD without X and Desktop stuff. That's why you have the Desktop version. So if you are asking if that doing a Upgrade using the Desktop liveCD, the answer is no, you can do it with Alternate liveCD.
