How to use Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred v.8 or 9 with Ubuntu 7.10?

I need help!
How do I use Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred v.8 or 9 with Ubuntu 7.10?
I have tendonitis and arthritis and need Dragon Naturally Speaking to do my work.

I really don't want to go back to MicroShaft's Win XP, etc.
