Will non-pae kernel be available in Precise?
Asked by

I really need a definitive answer regarding this. None of my machines are effected, and the pae kernel seems to be working well on my i386 machines. But a few people have reported that the Pentium M is a no-go with Precise Alpha 2 fresh installs.
It was my understanding that the need for non-pae would be auto-detected in Precise, and then non-pae would be dropped altogether following that. So I'm wondering if this is a bug or if it's intentional?
If it's a bug I assume that it's a ubiquity bug, is this correct? I ask because I think I'm already on Colin Watson's short list of people he'd rather not hear from ;^)
Just joking, but I've been too reliant on Colin for too many things for quite a long time. Many thanks in advance.
