HP webcam does not work. It is a 0c45:62c0 microdia

I'm using umbuntu 7.10. I've googled 0c45:62c0 microdia for linux but the results are confusing as I'm a linux virgin! Bryan

Thanks for the reply, I did go to skype but when I tried to download the umbuntu linix version I got error message "dependancy not satisfiable:libqt4-core" Whatever that means! I don't know what ekiga is frankly. I just dumped windows today! Thanks Bryan

ekiga is a telephony program with video option. just start it from Applications->Internet

for skype: you need version 2.0 which is a beta version.

you can install the dependencies like follows:

sudo aptitude install libqt4-core
(in case of libqt4-core)
if asked for password give your password. note: no stars are anything will appear. just type it and press enter when finished.
