Can I connect to a wireless network while using the Ubuntu Cd only?

If I must first completely install Ubuntu completely, then is setting up a wireless network similar to doing so in Windows?

hi Michael Dykes,

you can configure your wireless network using "nm-applet" at the top panel of your screen. or you can configure it by clicking System->Administrator->Network
