clisp out of date (v2.44.1 vs v2.49)

Asked by mcandre

clisp is an implementation of the Common Lisp programming language. The version included in the Ubuntu package system is 2.44.1, whereas the most recent version is 2.49. The version numbers are similar, but the differences are rather important. For instance, the popular Common Lisp package manager, Quicklisp (http://www.quicklisp.org/), does not support clisp 2.44.1.

clisp 2.49 is most recent version

By updating the Ubuntu package system's version of clisp, you will allow Ubuntu users to leverage the Quicklisp package manager, among other modern Common Lisp tools.

I suggest you report a bug to get it updated
Is there a PPA you can get the app from?
