Package keyTouch

I think keyTouch will be a usefull application for Ubuntu. Why? See: http://keytouch.sf.net

I believe the main drive would be to improve GNOME so that shoving third-party bits onto the system is not necessary. Also, hardware support is improving constantly, which is why something like this is not deemed to need to be in Ubuntu.

So you believe that it is better to reinvent the wheel?
You maybe think that GNOME has already such a program, but that's not true. The GNOME application is for configuring shortcuts. It is possible to configure extra function keys with it, but the user will have to do some "technical" thinks before he/she can configure them.
Please do not say we should create a second program that does the same. It is the spirit of Open Source to build on existing projects and share knowledge. Because of that I am prepared to cooperate with the GNOME project if they are interrested in developing a program like keyTouch.
BTW every Linux distribution is collection of different pieces of software that are build by different people of different projects. So not being part of something, should not be a reason to leave keyTouch out of Ubuntu.
