Facebook stays loading forever after I enter my login and password

Asked by Marcelo Siqueira Besch

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 on my vaio VGN-FZ350AE.

Everytime I try to login to facebook, after writing my user name and password and pressing enter, the page starts loading and stays that way forever.

Anyone knows what is happening?

Thanks!

As long as we're here, youtube videos are only playing on firefox. On chrome they load forever too.

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'; apt-cache policy firefox; apt-cache policy chrom*

Thanks

Maybe reinstall firefox?

sudo apt-get purge firefox;
sudo apt-get install firefox;

#Remember you will lose all firefox settings!

Can you help with this problem?
