Why can't I download latest security updates?

Asked by mikehi

I was just notified that there are three updates available (11/16/07) but when trying to download I get these messages:

W: Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/s/samba/smbclient_3.0.26a-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb
  403 Forbidden

W: Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/s/samba/samba-common_3.0.26a-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb
  403 Forbidden

W: Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/s/samba/libsmbclient_3.0.26a-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb
  403 Forbidden

How can I download these important security updates?

I think is a transient permissions issue on server: on file smbclient_3.0.26a-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb

i tested now

http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/s/samba/

and i get a 403 error

Hope this help

I have just upgraded to 7.10 on both my amd-64 PC and my celeron laptop. Am also getting the 403 forbidden message. i think this must be a Server problem.

A problem was detected in these update packages. Download of the packages has been blocked on purpose, to prevent problems for the users.

Thanks to marcobra, frankwatson, and albert for responding. I will wait until these or replacements are available on the server and then download at that time.
