Part of gnome-panel deleted. No access to apps running in memory. (icons near clock-panel)

Asked by skalsky

Hi,
I accidentally deleted a part of the gnome-panel. The Tiny part that is used (by default next to the clock) to show icons of apps running in the background or in memory.. So now if for example I start amarok, which by default runs in background, I can't open the app because of the missing part of the panel.. How can I get it back? I tried "add to panel" but I didn't find the appropriate option. I also tried creating a new panel, but the part missing isn't created with the new panel. I hope that my question is clear enough for you to answer.. Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Right click on the panel. Select "Add to Panel...".
Scroll down to the Utilities Section and select "Notification Area". Then press "Add" and enjoy.
