Hi There

Sorry i am complete newbie trying to learn Linux ...Please bear with me :)

i am having trouble when i try to run a Flatcast streaming audio feed
now with windows it normally requires shockwave flash to work but with Ubuntu i have no idea what im doing and how to diag the prob
i would presume it would also need some form of shokwave player ?

unfortunatly adobe has yet to release a version of shockwave that runs on linux (flash works but shockwave does not), i suggest you email adobe asking for this to be resolved and try looking for more linux friendly audio streams

I can hear Flatcast (and I don't have shockwave). Try installing ubuntu-restricted-extras. I have a handy Firefox add-on called "Download Embedded". I can see and download embedded objects which are otherwise invisible

Can you help with this problem?
