cannot load synaptic - break install
When I try to install synaptic from Adept PM it highlights the item but than when I press INSTALL it gives back BREAK (INSTALL) - it then gives:
There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages.
Any ideas? i,m using GG Kubuntu and have good internet connection

Thanks for your question
Could you please open a Konsole (K-Menu-
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --fix-missing
If there are no error messages, you should then be able to install with synaptic again.
Otherwise, please paste any error messages here.
Hope this helps

I have the CDROm but do not know how to use it further
However the updates have now been installed and I was able to install synaptic with it
Synaptic seems to work
thanx a thousand
