what audio format needed for blogtalkradio.com

Asked by billhatch40

I am trying to listen to a program on blogtalkradio.com in real time. Their audio broadcast format is not one of currently supported under my ubuntu 7.04 with mplayer. Their archived programs are in a different format which i can play OK.

I would appreciate any hints on what software I need to install to listen to their programs in real time.

I have not been able to identify the audio format used in their real time broadcasts. I suspect that it is a mocrosoft proprietary format.

Totem is able to play it just fine with the gst-plugins-bad0.10 package installed.

The stream itself is WMA version 8 according to totem.
