Prolem with Gutsy [installation candidate]

i have the following error .. can anyone help

Package apache2 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package apache2 has no installation candidate

Al, I'm sorry I took some time getting back to you.....still wrestling with
installation.....seems XP won't let go. I place the 7.04 CD in the cdrom
drive and wait 'til it comes up and when it does all it will let me do is a
sort of walk through tour of components....there's nowhere where I can key
in on an installation icon.....I tried 'formating' off of My Computer, C
drive and can't complete the operation. Ditto with the 'kill' disc.

I tried rebooting with the disk in, still no luck. What else can I do to
make this work?

I'm sort of new at this and I'm a bit confused...my original question was
assigned #17763 and you are now refering to another under #17766....??
