Problems with lo menubar in LibreOffice 3.4.3 and Ubuntu 11.10
My system is Libre0ffice 3.4.3 running on Ubuntu 11.10 in Unity 3D mode (the default).
I installed "lo-menubar" for LibreOffice 3.4.3 from the Ubuntu Software Center.
With reference to ***Calc***, this extension replaces LibreOffice's default File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Data, ***Window***, Help menu present within each document's window with a "Global" menu that appears on hovering near the top left of the screen on Ubuntu 11.10 running in Unity 3D mode.
I noticed some problems and would like to know if others see them as well and, if it is indeed happening, whether there is a workaround.
First, the global menu omits ***Window*** from the menu.
Second, having the global menu extension installed seems to turn off normal keyboard alternatives. For example, I can't use Alt+F to dropdown the File menu. Even things like selecting a column by pressing ctrl+shift+spacebar is not possible.
Third, the extension cannot be uninstalled via LibreOffice's extension manager. There is a lock next to it. I can uninstall it via Synaptic.
I think
**Window** should not be omitted
keyboard shortcuts should still function when the extension is installed
extensions should be able to be uninstalled via the Extension Manager
