what three-in-one (printer,scanner,&copier) machines are supported in Ubuntu?

I'm interested in getting a three-in-one device; what I need is makes/models that are supported in Ubuntu 7.10. No point in buying a boat anchor!

Hi !

usually the HP are very well supported.

See http://openprinting.org for a all bunch of printers

and

http://hplip.sourceforge.net/supported_devices/index.html for the HP printers

avoid canon (unless you are ready to pay 30$ for the turboprint drivers) and lexmark
