connecting to the internet on live cd

 I have adsl internet connection (and use firefox in windows). When i try to use firefox on the Live cd, I get the error screen. Usually in windows once I click firefox, the network connection will begin automatically. My Internet device name is WAN miniport (PPPOE) device type PPPoE. Any ideas?
