I have no sound but....

Asked by whatupfacko

I have no sound on my computer whatsoever. I dont know what happened. At one point I had it and then when I started messing around tryiing to get flash to work it stopped. I have figured out my flash problem but I would like to get sound back. I dont have the options of volume control or anthing like that I have checked alsa and all the sound is turned up at this point so it being muted is not the issue. when i go to system/preferences/sound and look at the different options there arent any. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem?
