Dell 1100 laser printer does not function

Asked by ashok

Dell 1100 laser printer does not work with ubuntu. Sometimes the print command makes it hum but not print. It is listed as default printer but location field is empty. It is a usb connected printer. Any help would be appreciated for
not a very technically able user.

The necessary driver comes included with ubuntu. just select the Samsung ML-1510 driver when installing the printer
