Finger Print Reader of Sony VAIO VGN-SZ450N

can someone tell me how to start the finger print reader on Sony VAIO VGN-SZ450N. BTW, I am using UBUNTU 7.10 and am a total novice user of LINUX,. I have removed windows vista (pre loaded on the machine) bcoz i dont like windows.
