how do i get lexmark z1300 printer to work on ubuntu linux?

just trying to print from ubuntu using lexmark z1300 but i can't find the drivers or it on ubuntu ....how do i get the drivers for this printer on ubuntu the .ppd drivers??

actually people following this guide with your printer did not manage to get it to work. reading from some forums it seems you are screwed...

concerning printers, the site http://openprinting.org is a great source of information. Usually, HP printers are very well supported under linux. Canon and lexmark have often a bad support. Before bying a printer, verify on openprinting.org that the model is supported. if you don't find the model on the site, try google.
