Ubuntu wont boot on startup, already changed Bios
I downloaded the Ubuntu client that matched my system. It was the 64-bit desktop version. I burned the ISO file on a cd and the browser opens when I put the cd in. However when I boot my computer it is not booting from the cd, I have tried changing the boot order in BIOS, and a direct boot. Neither has had any affect, windows (XP) still loads like normal. I tried the cd on my friends laptop that I have been working on (it has professional 2000), and it booted correctly. I am not sure if there is a setting in windows somewhere that is necessary for me to change, or if windows(XP) is looking for a specific command line on a cd when it checks for a bootable cd, but I am completely stumped. Any advice would be greatly apreciated, Thanks.
