Quickbooks is a Windows application so is not by default compatible with Linux. Some Windows software can be run quite successfully via the "Wine" (Wine Is Not an Emulator) application compatibility layer that provides Windows application interfaces to allow you to run (some) Windows applications directly on Linux. Sadly, Quickbooks is not currently one of the supported/known working apps, but it's worth keeping an eye on Wine as it doesn't appear that a great deal of work is required to make (some versions of) Quickbooks work. For more on Wine and Quickbooks see here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=493

Alternatives you might consider are
1.) MyBooks which is a Linux native clone of Quickbooks that apparently can read/use Quickbooks database files. See http://linuxappfinder.com/package/mybooks

2.) Run Quickbooks under a virtual Windows machine. In order to do this you will have to install VMWare server (see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware/Server) or VirtualBox (see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualBox?highlight=%28virtualbox%29) then install Windows on the virtual machine, followed by Quickbooks onto the virtual machine.
