Ubuntu

FAT16, FAT32, NTFS ??

Hi all,
As I used to use XP, the partions on that was NTSF, what is the differance from that and what Linux/Ubuntu use?

I see things like, ext.
Just what exactly is the difference and what do the linux/Ubuntu HD types mean?
