invest applet in gutsy not working and cannot be removed

I added the 'Invest' applet onto Panel. It does not work i.e. when I left or right click on it, there is no change.

Also I now cannot remove it - even if I right click and press 'R'. After adding a second instance, I cannot get rid of either and now have 2 icons on the panel.

Can you help me remove them?

I managed to remove it by right clicking on the empty space on the RHS of the icon.

What's the solution to this bug? It seems to be an old one, as -if I recall correctly- Invest was substituted for gtik (which was a fine working app) since Edgy or Feisty.
