running migration-assistant after installation

Is there a way to run the migration-assistant after ubuntu installation is over ?

my windows installation was recognized by ubuntu during installation but I did not import any files/folders as I want all those stuffs to be stored in a different partition...

Try to install "ubiquity", but is not the better way for you. If you want to access to windows files, just mount the Windows partition.
