Really Stupid Question About Gusty and hard drive...

Alright I know this is a stupid question but if I do a fresh install from Feisty to Gusty will it format my Hard Drive or would it only do that if If I had it set to a non Ubuntu format on that HD.

You can chose what ubuntu will do. If there is a previous version of linux on it, you can chose to allow fiesty to re write the old partion leaving every thing else un-touched.
It will not format your entire hard drive unless you tell it to.
