When I try to boot my Laptop using the CD drive, grub always load

Asked by Nabor Oliveira

I'm trying to upgrade my dual boot Feisty/WinXP to Gutsy/WinVista, but I'm having problems to boot the installation cd's.
In the Bios of my laptop I've changed the boot order to 1st - CD / 2nd - HDD. But if I insert any installation cd's, the cdrom light flashes but GRUB loads from HDD with the usual options.
I've tried installation cd's of Vista, XP, Ubuntu Gustsy and even DSL Live Cd and GParted Live Cd.
Could someone help me overpass this odd situation?
I guess a solution could be listing the instalation cd on /boot/grub/menu.lst, but I don't know how.
