7.10 Installer disappears

Hello,
I seem to be having a problem with installing 7.10. Every time the installer gets past halfway (the point in which is disappears differs) the installer just goes away. No error, nothing happens. Though I've noticed a lot of things are broken when that happens (for example the words "shutdown" and such from the shutdown window are boxes instead of letters) I had this problem with 7.04, but I eventually got it working by trying upwards of 10 times to get the installer to complete. Any ideas?

I have checked the integrity of the disc, in addition to trying a total of 3 discs.

Well, I found a way to make it work.. Just try 8+ times! I'd still like to know how to make it work permanently though, as this is rather annoying :)
