Easy way to add modem

Asked by leo mitchell

I am new to Ubuntu and need help with my modem. My computer, which already has windows installed, sees my modem in Windows. Problem is, when I try to use it in Ubuntu, I am not able to find it. Could someone give me a easy, foolproof way to find and add my modem? I am trying to use a fax program, and have found that the fax program can not run because of the modem issue.

Thanks again in advance.

Ok so I'm guessing it's this one:

Agere Systems Lucent V.92 Data/Fax Modem

Is that correct? The dialup modem?
