browse the drives

Asked by lulubasslulu

I'm new on Ubuntu. Is it possible to browse the drives and directories using a menu? Just a few ones know that it exists in Windows: you can browse the drives from your taskbar (just add "desktop" in the task bar) it looks like the start menu, and it's very fast. I search for this fonction in Ubuntu (I got UbuntuStudio)

I don't think so but you can try:
- adding a bookmark in nautilus (Ubuntu's explorer) so it appears in Places on the top panel
- use beagle or another desktop search tool to quickly find a file (it's integrated in Ubuntu 7.10, just press Alt+F3)

Can you help with this problem?
