Audio on Toshiba

Asked by odinn

I had hope that there should have been a solution in Gutsy for the audioproblems I have with my Toshiba Satellite L30, but there was not. Have lived with the problem in feisty ( booting to windows..:( :)..).
I looked for a solution on the internet and there seems to be a one but with Suse. Now I wonder if it's possible to do the same with Ubuntu 7.10. The solver have downloaded some files, some lib etc. But the biggest changes was to a file /etc/modprobe.conf that I do not find in Ubuntu /etc, can any one give a suggestion?

There's a folder «/etc/modprobe.d». If you are looking for alsa configuration, the file is «/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base».
