Is there a way to restore the bottom panel to the Ubuntu Unity Desktop? U

I have abandoned the Unity desktop in my Ubuntu 11.04 OS in favour of the Ubuntu Classic version because of the ease of shifting between a number of open programs using the names of open items that appear in the bottom panel.
Unity requires me to touch the left edge of the screen with the pointer to bring out the Launcher and then find and click on the icon of the program I wish to change to, instead of a single click on the appropriate note in the Classic's bottom panel. That can add up to a lot of extra clicks, extra time to do a job and a lot of aggravation!
Is there a way to add the bottom panel to Unity (perhaps from Classic) and have the names of open items appear in it?
