gusty gibbon 7.10 does not recognize dual cdrom drives, only one

I have two cdrom drives in my system, and the system only recognizes only one, i have tried using cable select and master slave. still only sees one drive.

What are your cd-rom drives??? What is your system specs?

My System Specs, are as follows:

Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-81848P775-G
Memory: DDR 400/333 1Gig Total
Hard Disk Drive: 20 Gigs of disk space IDE Located on ide1 interface alone
CDROM/DVD: Samsung Light Scribe set to cable select, 1st drive on ide2
CDROM/DVD: Generic set to cable select 2nd drive on ide2.
OS: Ubuntu Studio 7.10.

This is my system configuration. If you need more info, let me know.

Wondering if you had a chance to look at my situation, concerning the two
cdrom drives ?

I located the problem myself, the problem was for some it did not like that particular model of dvd/cd drive. I switched out the drive and now it recognizes both drives.
