Want to propose a package for inclusion in 8.04

Asked by Raphael J. Schmid

Hi,

for Ubuntu 8.04. Hardy Heron, I'd like to propose a package for inclusion (not in Universe, which it already is, but for default use) - I know there's a place somewhere to do that but not where that place is. Can't find it through Google so it would be lovely if somebody could point me towards it :-)

Regards,
Raphael

Hello,
You will really just need to upload the package to REVU and have a MOTUs or developers vote and allow it in.

Here is a link to get you started.

Hi Jayson,

thanks for answering! Looks like I expressed myself misunderstandably though... the package I mean is in Universe already - I would like to propose it for being _used_by_default_ in Ubuntu - including the reasons of course.

Ah,
I did misunderstand you.
Well, in that case the best medium is through the development mailing lists.
This way you can discuss it with the developers them selves.

Here is a link to the Ubuntu mailing lists.

Hope this helps.
