How can if get a higher wireless download?

Downloading using ethernet hard wire is OK - 100/Mbs.

Wireless download is anywhere from 1Mbs to 50Mbs.

Using a linksys router about i yard from the netbook.

Tried a different channel?

Is the model an ASUS 900 and not a 900HA or something else, there is a difference...

I checked several places, it is a 900.

I have not tried a different channel, but that is my next step, why that solution did not come up on searches I did is baffling.
