BCM4306 is REALLY slow

Okay. I just got my wireless chipset to finally pick up the available networks in the area, but now after I've connected and authenticated, it doesn't go anywhere because of how slow it is.

It doesn't even make it to Google, and I'm pretty sure it's a bug with the driver, not a configuration problem because I've used a PC-Card wireless lan adapter from a friend, and it brings up the sites just a tad bit slower than a ethernet connection. This chipset won't bring any sites up.
