can't install ubuntu 7.10

Asked by superdave555

hi I have a problem installing ubuntu 7.10 from Vista Ultimate I want to eliminate vista and maybe install xp later on another hd

try to run the cd but the monitor keeps saying it's out of range V 60.1 hz H 75.1 hz and then it cuts out and says the main display has cut out more than 6 times in 90 secs and it will try again in 2 minutes but never does. I hit ok and I get a flashing white cursor that doesn't do anything I can't even get the gui

I'm running an AMD Sempron 3400+ 1.8ghz
1.5 gb pc2-5300 ddr2
ATI Radeon EAX 1550

I don't know what to do

Are you using the LiveCD installer? Did you try the alternate CD? When the first is not working, that's always worth a try...

Why don't use alternate it don't have any graphic issue.
Install a torrent client such as http://www.bittorrent.com/download/
and then get it from here
http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.10/ubuntu-7.10-alternate-i386.iso.torrent
make the cd ...
