Installing an Nvidia graphics driver in Ubuntu (100% newbie to Linux)
I have just installed Ubuntu, which is my very first experience with Linux in general. I've looked through the installed devices and see that there are two devices, which is not installed. One is my soundcard (ESI Maya44 MK2 PCI) and the other one is my XFX GeForce 8xxx graphicscard.
I've tried looking through the web for some clue how to install the gfx card driver (nevermind the soundcard for now) but have so far failed to find any kind of comprehensible explanation on how to install the driver. All I can find, are command line expressions that could have been written in sanskrit for all I know :)
Please help me and don't be afraid to teach it to me like I was a 3-year old! :D
