Unclear: you booted to a Fedora liveCD and Fedora didn't work, or Ubuntu was broken after using Fedora and rebooting?

Fedora isn't supported here. Fedora is supported at:
http://www.fedoraforum.org/

You can boot it in a virtualbox, otherwise it won't be supported here. If you want to reboot and boot the system and use it as a livecd then it isn't supported here
