Ubuntu 7.10 Live CD/DVD ? Desktop ?

Asked by Sebastian Geiger on 2007-10-19

Each time there is a new Release of Ubuntu. I ask my self the same questions: Where do i find the DVD edition? Does the desktop edition include the live environment? what is the difference between the DVD and the CD edition, i.e. what is not included on the cd that is on the dvd?

ubuntu-7.10-desktop-amd64.iso <--- Live or not?
ubuntu-7.10-desktop-i386.iso <--- Live or not?

I suggest on ubuntu.com you add a little explation page that describes where to find the dvd edition, whether they are released later on, and what's to know about the dvd edition. Should such a page exist, then im sorry for the post, but i could not find this information.

Also: for the alternate edition, the only reason i would chose that one is if i had less then 192mb of memory. Or is there another reason.
