Does copy and paste not work?

your question is weird.
what exactly are you trying to do?
you can put links in the spreadsheet that when clicked will bring up the website.. is that what you're trying to do?

The data does change occasionally on the website, so I was hoping to not have to copy and repaste it every time it changes.

I'm trying to load data from columns of data on a particular webpage. Some data on laxpower.com looks like:

Date Home Team Away Team Scores

  302 Mar Vista Helix Charter 7 9
  304 Helix Charter Bonita Vista 7 9
307 Francis Parker School Helix Charter 7 11
  307 Granite Hills Mar Vista 2 10
  307 Mission Hills Pacific Ridge 11 8
  308 Bonita Vista Serra 2 14
308 Chula Vista Patrick Henry, CA 3 16
  308 Coronado Monte Vista, Spring V. 15 0
308 Del Norte San Dieguito Academy 6 5 ot
  308 Helix Charter Ramona 11 7
  308 Otay Ranch Granite Hills 11 5
  308 Preuss School Point Loma 17 3
  308 Santana Canyon Crest Academy 13 18
308 Cathedral Catholic Mt. Carmel, CA 15 4
  309 Grossmont Serra 9 11

I'm trying to load this into a spreadsheet. This data gets updated on the webpage so I was hoping to load it directly instead of copy and paste. Excel has a similar operation, webquery.

the webquery function is available in libreoffice calc and it let's you update the link to refresh the data. i don't know if it's available in openoffice.

Thanks. I was looking for something with openoffice but it looks like it isn't there (having the name "webquery" helped to decide it wasn't there, thanks!). Maybe I'll check out libreoffice.

Thanks again,
