Gutsy support for Dell 1520

I can't seem to find the HCL for Ubuntu regarding laptops, specifically Dell 1520, so I am hoping someone can share a link.

Thank you for your question.
If you are using the x86 arch, then chances are it is supported.
You can check this link for help: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport?highlight=%28hardware%29

If your specific Laptop is not on there, just research your hardware and see if others have successfully installed Linux.

You can use google such as "hardware piece + Linux" to see what you get.

If you do successfully install Ubuntu on your Dell 1520 and it's not in the HCL up at our Wiki, please add an entry for your laptop.

Again, I'd like to iterate that chances are you are supported just fine. Linux's kernel has way more drivers and more hardware support than anything Microsoft releases.
