Fiesty Server not upgrading to Gutsy

Asked by Brandon McGlumphy

I followed the network server upgrade instructions. Yet, when I do the sudo do-release-upgrade, it tells me that there is no new release.

What can I do, besides downloading a new server image and fresh installing?

Release day is not a good day to try and run an upgrade. The servers are really hit hard and it can take a very long time. If you want to upgrade (rather than new install) I'd wait until you see it as an option via the regular updates - and then wait a day or so at least.

Had the same problem at work

server is sitting behind squid proxy server

is your server behind a proxy server

I found that once i bypassed the proxyserver it worked great

even though had apt.conf configured to use the proxy and could get aptitude updates fine.

this is not an issue from gutsy to hardy just fiesty to gutsy it seems to use the apt.conf file fine.

Can you help with this problem?
